Tech Tip: Thermostatic Control Head

We recently received a question from a reader, "One of your competitors has a locking mechanism on their thermostatic actuator, does yours?"  Short answer... Yes, we do! The Caleffi 200000 Series thermostatic control head, with internal sensor, has a very easy to use locking mechanism that prevents unauthorized temperature setpoint tinkering. It also has a range stop adjustment that limits the maximum temperature setting to save energy and over-heating. These great features make this actuator stand out from the competition!

I have Caleffi TRVs in my office on the wall mounted panel radiators. Here it is.

By the way, the contractor hard plumbed with pex-al-pex and accidentatly switched the connections. So, what happens once in a while is the valve will softly chatter. Annoying. He used no isolation valves, so to fix it, will have to drain the radiator then figure a way to switch the stiff pipe. If he used the Caleffi H-valve shown, the radiators can be easily isolated. The other radiator (not seen here) is piped correctly. Silent too. too.
