On the 29 May we inaugurated our new showroom e training centre at Beijing, at our Branch Premises.
This event was called
CALEFFI 1618: in 2016 we celebrate our first 18 years in China (furthermore, 6 and 8 are lucky numbers in Chinese culture!).

Here the reasons that brought us to China and that made us stay.

With a 18-year presence on the Chinese market, Caleffi is now well established as a 100% Made in Italy manufacturer of components for heating and hydronic systems for traditional and renewable energy. The target market for Caleffi products is the growing middle class – consumers who adore high quality products, really value Italian style and attention to detail, and appreciate excellence and certified origins.

In a constantly changing market, with increasingly specific needs and a growth in discerning demand, Caleffi aims to become a leader in the HVAC industry, exporting its identity based on industrial strength, production quality and technical know-how.

In this context, the sole Beijing office is no longer enough to accommodate customers and sales force. To replicate the Italian model in a country revolving on big numbers and enormous potential we need more investment to deliver greater visibility and increase brand perception.

The launch of the Caleffi EXPERIENCE show and training room at the Italian headquarters inspired the Chinese team to replicate a parallel training scheme in Beijing. The elements that swayed the positioning choice were location in an area set for short-term residential and commercial development, proximity to the Caleffi marketing office and a two-floor layout offering abundant space and great views on the main street.

The efficient air conditioning systems installed in full view on the first floor were designed at Caleffi Italia by the same engineer who oversaw the systems for CUBOROSSO and the first Caleffi EXPERIENCE room. The heat sources used are: condensing boiler, air-water heat pump, solar panel and domestic hot water storage enhance the operation of the heating and cooling system on floor, ceiling and radiators on a 300 sqm area over two floors. These system basics are complemented by demonstrative use of fan-coils, air dehumidification and recycling, production of domestic hot water with programmed anti-legionella, climate regulation and radio-wave temperature control.

The entire system network has an educational aspect: highly technical and business-oriented training sessions can be held here, with the further goal of recreating the immersive, dynamic experience of the Caleffi world, just as it happens with the parent company.

So, the Caleffi EXPERIENCE in China has also become a real place for visiting customers (distributors, installers, designers, heating technicians etc.), sales agents and local reps. The space on the first floor can accommodate about 30 people who will have the opportunity to be at the centre of our training programmes aided by functional panels, video, cross-sectional samples, digital tools such as interactive diagrams, sizers, tables and head loss diagrams, with everything freely available on the website.

For us it is crucial to become a benchmark for the industry culture in China, actively contributing to the training of individual operators. We are confident that the path laid out can be well reprised and expanded also here and we consider the new showroom an excellent meeting point between the past and the future resurgence of Caleffi in this country.

 

All this cannot be separated from the concept of hospitality – an integral part of Italian culture and of the company itself. Hence the natural development of the ideal of well-being on the ground floor of the building, where the new Vitaliana brand introduces "The Art of Comfort". Target customers and lovers of Italian style will be welcomed into a hospitable environment where they can enjoy a lounge area fitted out with Italian furniture and high-end designer radiators from the three renowned brands Tubes, Ridea and Cordivari, in combination with High-Style Caleffi valves. Here the heating systems are concealed while well-being is felt with all five senses. The relaxed atmosphere is made even more pleasant by a wine corner featuring the prestigious Travaglini di Gattinara marque, promoting Italian taste and excellence all around the world.

 

Caleffi shows its faith in the Chinese market with this project; fully formed both technically and in terms of product and service quality, it enjoys the best possible exposure in the modern, experience-led environment of the new Caleffi Experience showroom in Beijing.
