Faq - Frequent questions

You can use the App to enable and disable a wide range of manual control functions of the comfort controls.
On the CODE App, select a zone, then click the gear icon (top right), followed by the comfort control command you are interested in. If you access the advanced settings, you will be able to select manual control. If you select the green button, you can operate manual valve opening or closure by using the + and - keys at the top of the comfort control. This is a temporary modification as the command will regulate according to its specific programme after 30 minutes. You can deselect manual control (by clicking on the green button that will turn grey). This function is useful in public places so that the temperature setting cannot be changed.
To enable this function, you need to save the setting (top right).

The screen also shows the Open valve and Close valve keys. If selected, they enable you to force valve opening or closing via the app without having to change the time band settings. This function is temporary.

N.B.
- when the manual control function is disabled, the comfort control LED no longer lights up.
- you cannot force the command into a permanent open or closed position. Its function is temporary with a 30 minute default that may be modified in the settings menu, by clicking on the three lines top left on the home page and selecting the Duration of the set temperature using the Comfort Control keys (max 24h).
- you can simultaneously disable the use of all the comfort keys. This function can be enabled in the settings menu by clicking on the three lines top left on the home page and selecting Disables use of all Comfort Control keys, the final item at the bottom of the menu.

Under the best conditions, the CODE Gateway covers an area of approximately 80-100 sqm on a single floor and if you have thick walls or a slab floor, the signal can be considerably reduced.
If a communication error appears with one or more devices (comfort control command or sensor), to resolve the problem we recommend bringing the Gateway closer to the device that is causing problems or, if this is not possible, adding an additional Gateway that acts as an extra aerial. We currently have no repeaters or any other similar system.

If you require a more precise analysis of your signal level and want to report a transmission problem, you can send us an e-mail containing your registration e-mail and gateway number (you'll find it printed at the bottom below the QR code). We will analyse the problem and find various solutions:

The ambient temperature sensor with boiler contact code 215002/215002 BLK enables the boiler
to be switched on and replace a normal, wall-mounted thermostat. The sensor must be linked to the Gateway that is part of CALEFFI CODE® even if it is just to manage the boiler contact.Communication between the ambient temperature sensor and Gateway is managed by radio waves and boiler operation is managed by an internal relay via cable.
