Hydronic Separation Simplified

Date
Coffee with Caleffi

Subject - Hydronic Separation Simplified

When - Thursday, November 21 from 12:00 - 1:00pm CST

Technical Content Level -  Fundamentals

In this webinar, we’re diving into the fundamentals. Our goal is to teach a novice audience how separation devices work and where to apply them. If you are an advanced member of the hydronics community, we’ll break down these concepts with a variety of analogies and we encourage you to contribute your own insights in the webinar chat. We aim to make these concepts easy to explain to a range of stakeholders, potentially a new hire at your own company.

Well-designed hydraulic, air, dirt and magnetic separators are crucial to ensure the peak performance of heating and cooling systems. Without them, fighting circulators waste energy and disrupt design flow rates, while clogged y-strainers and chronic air problems can turn into costly maintenance problems. Keep your designs in great working condition with proper separation.

→What is primary/secondary piping? Why is it important in hydronic systems?
→How can primary/secondary be applied effectively?
→What defines high-performance separation in hydronic systems?
→What issues arise from poor air, dirt, and magnetic separation?
