Components for central heating systems

Products created for use in heat pump system circuits, generators with specific technical requirements related to the system configuration.

Safety relief valves are used for pressure control on heat generators in heating systems, on hot water storage units in domestic water systems and in hydraulic systems.

The TP safety relief valve controls and limits the temperature and pressure of the hot water contained in a domestic hot water storage unit and prevents it from being able to reach temperatures of over 100 °C, with the formation of water vapour.

The differential pressure regulating valve keeps constant, at the set value, the difference in pressure existing between two points of a hydraulic circuit.
The differential by-pass valve ensures a flow recirculation proportional to the number of valves being closed, limiting the maximum value of the differential pressure generated by the pump.

The anti-pollution check valve is a protective plumbing device capable of preventing the backflow of polluted water into the mains system. This may occur due to changes in pressure in the distribution network that cause water to flow backwards. The check valve, which is fitted between the main water system and the user system in water distribution systems, prevents any contact between the water in the two systems, as it closes automatically whenever backflow conditions occur.

The instrument holder and accessories is a compact unit incorporating a series of devices which are compulsory for the control and safety of central heating systems.

The automatic filling unit is a device composed of a pressure reducing valve with compensating seat, inlet strainer, shut-off cock and check valve. Some models come complete with backflow preventer. It is installed on the water inlet pipe in closed circuit heating systems, and its main function is to keep the system pressure stable at a set value by automatically topping up with water as required.

The water flow switch detects whether there is any flow in the pipe and activates or deactivates an electric contact.

Filtration is a physical-mechanical process in which a moving liquid separates from the solid particles dispersed in it due to the fact they are captured by a porous filtering strainer through which the liquid passes. The strainer retains all the particles larger than the diameter of the filter mesh at the first passage.

Expansion vessels are devices designed to accommodate the increase in the volume of water due to the raising of its temperature, both in heating systems and in domestic hot water production systems. They are also used as hydro-pneumatic well in domestic water distribution systems.

The hydraulic separator is a device that makes the circuits (primary and secondary) connected to it independent, and can be used in hot or chilled water systems, also combining the deaeration and impurity separation functions.

The manifolds for central heating systems are used in heating and cooling systems to allow different heat adjustments of the various rooms when there is only one heat generator or cooling unit.

SEPCOLL, a device which combines the functions of hydraulic separator and distribution manifold, is used in heating and cooling systems to allow different regulation of the various rooms when there is only one heat generator or cooling unit.

The distribution units perform the function of supplying the heating or cooling system circuits. The units may be direct or fitted with a mixing valve (thermostatic or motorised) for controlling the temperature of the medium sent to the system.
