INSTALLATION DETAILS:

In this luxury hotel the regulation of the chilled water and the management of the whole air conditioning system is entrusted to Caleffi 145 PICV and 146 Series. This choice has been taken with the aim to maximize both the comfort level and the energy saving. Each single unit operation can be modulated by the BMS in order to achieve the maximum efficiency possible. The comfort and the safety in the plumbing system is ensured by the presence of Caleffi 536 Series Pressure Reducing Valves and Caleffi 525 Series Water Hammer arresters. The compensated seat of Caleffi 536 Series ensures precise and constant regulation despite system pressure fluctuations. The construction of Caleffi 525 Series ensures constant safety performance in the long time period.

The pressure independent control valve (PICV) is a device composed of an automatic flow rate regulator and a control valve with actuator. The device is installed in HVAC systems and can adjust flow rate and keep it constant despite of changing differential pressure conditions of the circuit in which it is installed, ensuring accuracy, comfort and energy saving. Pressure reducing valves are devices for plumbing systems. When installed on domestic water systems, such devices reduce and stabilise the pressure of the water entering from the main network. This inlet pressure, in general, is too high and variable. The goal of Pressure reducing valves is to ensure safety and stability to the final users. Water hammer phenomenon may occur in plumbing systems when the fluid is accelerated or decelerated very quickly, due to the rapid closure of valves or taps or as a consequence of a circulation pump stopping. The effect consists in the propagation of over- and underpressures along the pipes, which may result in noise and damage to the whole system. The water hammer arrester, when installed close to single-lever mixing taps, solenoid valves, ball valves, prevents such negative effects
