Caleffi Highlights

Flanders - 1000 kilometres by bike against cancer
April 21st, 2011

Caleffi takes part in the longest cycle track through Flanders

From the 2nd till the 5th of June, Caleffi will take part in a cycling tour of 1000 kilometres organised by Flanders Classics. This is the umbrella organisation for classic cycle races held in Flanders (Belgium). Founded in 2010, Flanders Classics is the owner of the prestigious Tour of Flanders and of the opening race Omloop Het Nieuwsblad.

Caleffi supports cancer research
Still, the “1000 kilometres” is more than a declaration of support for those who suffer from cancer. The aim is to raise as much funds as possible to support the scientific battle against this disease. This year, the money is used for patient-oriented cancer research to make the treatment of cancer more efficient and to reduce side effects.

Caleffi & Co. joining forces
By covering a distance of 1000 kilometres by bicycle, the Caleffi cycling team raised more than 6000 Euros last year. For the upcoming event, the team will change up gear! Literally and figurative. Together with wholesaler’s “Vanden Bergh” and “Varey” and installer “Jimmy D’Hondt bvba” they intend to do even better.

Taking part does make a difference!
