Caleffi Highlights

Intersolar Munich 2008
And now Intersolar San Francisco

This was the first time Caleffi took part in an international "vertical" - i.e. specialist - tradefair for the renewable energy sector.
The experience was more than positive and just as a few weeks previously at SOLAREXPO - GREENBUILDING in Verona, at INTERSOLAR 2008 our stand and our brand enjoyed a high profile which aroused a great deal of interest and which also reflected the group's general marketing strategies.

Although Caleffi did not present itself as a leader in the power industry, it has taken its first steps in this sector with professionalism and at the right time: now that our Research Centre is also active, Caleffi's presence in the renewable energy componentry sector can be reinforced and expanded.

At the two events mentioned above, the brand presented its entire range of solar energy system components, a dedicated lineup which is continually growing . The products which attracted most interest are the solar system/boiler connection kits for integrating innovative solar technology with more traditional solutions: this pragmatic approach generated considerable interest (since going over to a system powered exclusively with alternative sources is not yet a realistic option, it's always advisable to foresee a backup system).

The participation of Caleffi at conventions, fairs and exhibition Overseas, where the trend of being more respectful of the environment in terms of general savings is increasing rapidly.
During these days, our subsidiary Caleffi North America, Inc. is taking part in Intersolar 2008 at Moscone Center, San Francisco, California after having participated in the Solar 2008 Conference of San Diego.
We would like to remind that at the beginning of May, Caleffi sponsored an international Webinar on Solar Thermal conducted by John Siegenthaler. A success that we will try to repeat since a third seminar is in the planning stage.

Success in Figures: Intersolar 2008

16.06.08
One trade show, three days, seven halls full of innovations in the areas of photovoltaics, solar thermal technology and solar architecture – four days after the end of Intersolar 2008, the figures of this year’s industry meeting point are official.

The trade show for solar technology broke all records. The exhibition area was 76,000sqm, which was larger than ever (124% growth), while the number of exhibitors had grown by 65% to a grand total of 1,053 exhibitors – another record. The final poll counted 51,861 visitors (+62%) from 140 countries. Intersolar’s importance as a leading international trade show was underlined by the fact that 44.9% of visitors and 47% of exhibitors came from abroad.

The majority of international visitors came from Italy, followed by Spain, France and Austria. For the first time, the United States were amongst the top ten of visitor nations. 1,000 guests from the American continent attended the trade show, 1,600 solar experts had traveled to Munich from Asia and 400 from the Middle East – most of them attended the first two days of Intersolar which were reserved for the experts. “The degree of internationalization we have reached is an important milestone in the development of Intersolar, underlining the world-wide importance of the trade show as an industry platform for solar technology. The figures are also an important measure for the emerging international markets showing the potential of solar technology around the world,” says Markus Elsässer, Managing Director of Solar Promotion GmbH, one of the organizers of Intersolar.

The media showed more interest in Intersolar than ever before: 578 media representatives – more than 100 of them from abroad - visited the world’s largest solar technology trade show at the new Munich trade show center over the three days. “Intersolar has been recognized as the top event of the solar industry by all international media. Of course we are very happy to be able to welcome such a large number of international journalists here in Munich,” says Klaus W. Seilnacht, Managing Director of Freiburg Wirtschaft Touristik und Messe GmbH & Co. KG, the other organizer.

Intersolar 2009 will take place in the new trade show center in Munich from June 27 to 29, 2009 . The organizers and supporters of Intersolar look forward to welcoming even more visitors – both from Germany and abroad – to Munich next year.
